TORRAS Ostand Case Review

TORRAS Ostand Case Review

This time, I want to talk about the TORRAS Ostand Case.

TORRAS Ostand Case

The reason is simple: I liked this case enough to buy a second one recently.
My first one was destroyed in a completely accidental way after getting hit directly by a basketball.

I considered trying a different case this time, but in the end, I bought the exact same one again.
That probably says a lot about how usable this case actually is.

So in this article, I want to review it based on my long-term experience using it.

What Is the TORRAS Ostand Case?

The TORRAS Ostand Case is a smartphone case series with a built-in rotating ring stand.

In addition to working as a MagSafe-compatible case, the ring can also be used as:

A phone grip

A stand

It’s useful not only for watching videos, but also for propping up the phone while filming.

Not having to carry a separate stand around turned out to be surprisingly convenient.

What Is TORRAS?

TORRAS is a brand based in Shenzhen, China.
It was established in 2012 as an in-house brand of Lanhe Technology Group.

Honestly, that surprised me a little.

The overall build quality felt so refined that I initially assumed it was a Japanese brand.

What I Like About the TORRAS Ostand

The Stand Is Extremely Usable

This is easily the best part of the case.

The stand angle is highly adjustable, which makes it very practical to use.

It works well for things like:

  • watching videos
  • filming Vlogs
  • working at a desk

and many other situations.

Since you don’t need to carry both a case and a separate stand, it also helps reduce what you carry every day.

The Texture Feels Premium

TORRAS Ostand Case's texture is premium

The surface has a smooth matte texture that feels very nice in the hand.

This kind of finish usually only comes from products that are carefully designed down to the small details.
It doesn’t feel cheap at all, and the overall quality feels very polished.

To be honest, I originally thought it was made by a Japanese company.

It Doesn’t Compromise iPhone Functionality

This only applies to the iPhone version, but the small details are very well designed.

What impressed me most was how easy the Action Button is to press even with the case installed.

A lot of cases solve this by leaving a cutout around the button, but this case fully covers it while still keeping the button responsive.

I had no issues with sensitivity either.

Things I’d Like Improved

It’s Slightly Heavy

Because the stand is built into the case, it feels heavier than a normal case.

That said, it wasn’t really a downside for me personally.

I try not to spend too much time on my phone anyway, so having a slightly heavier phone actually feels kind of appropriate.

It makes me less likely to use it for long periods.

Limited Color Options

For the iPhone 16 Pro model I use, the only option available was a smoky gray finish.

TORRAS Ostand Case has Limited Color Options

Personally, I prefer:

  • simple black cases
  • understated designs

rather than clear cases or flashy colors, so I wish there were more options available.

Expensive for a Phone Case

Since it includes a built-in stand, it costs more than a regular phone case.

Still, if you think about the fact that you don’t need to separately buy:

  • a phone grip
  • a stand

then the price starts to feel a bit more reasonable.

Even so, as a phone case alone, it’s definitely on the expensive side.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I think this is an extremely well-designed smartphone case.

It’s especially good for people who:

  • film Vlogs
  • watch a lot of videos
  • want to carry fewer things

For me personally, it has become one of those products that would genuinely be hard to live without.

If you want a case that balances both functionality and premium build quality, I think this is an easy one to recommend.
